The client: Spine & Stability

Spine & Stability is a physiotherapy clinic in Highlands, Harare, founded by Kyla Stableford. The team handles sports injury rehabilitation, chronic pain management and post-operative care, with registered, licensed practitioners and over a decade of experience between them.

Kyla had nothing online when she came to me, so this was the whole setup rather than a website on its own: Microsoft 365, the Google Business Profile, and the site.

The problem Spine & Stability came to me with

Someone looking for a physiotherapist is usually in pain, often worried, and about to let a stranger work on their spine. That decision gets made under stress. Clever design doesn’t help anyone in that state. Visible qualifications and an obvious way to book do.

What I built for Spine & Stability

Qualifications above the fold. Licensed practitioners, years of experience and the clinic’s patient rating sit directly under the hero. Anyone can describe themselves as a therapist, and registration is what separates Kyla’s team from that, so it goes first.

Kyla’s own words. Her statement carries the positioning: she founded the clinic to bring world-class physiotherapy to Harare. A named clinician with a photograph and a stated reason for opening the doors reads very differently from anonymous “our team” copy.

Services grouped by situation. Sports injury rehabilitation, chronic pain management, post-operative care. Patients rarely arrive knowing which technique they need. They arrive knowing they had surgery six weeks ago, or that their back has hurt for a year, so the categories match how someone would describe their own circumstances.

Evidence-based, said plainly. Internationally recognised protocols, current research, personalised care plans. It puts clear water between the clinic and the wellness end of the market, and reassures anyone who arrived holding a doctor’s referral.

One call to action. Book Appointment repeats down the page and closes it. The street address, phone number and weekday opening hours are stated plainly, because a patient in pain will give up long before they go hunting for them.

The Google Business Profile, built at the same time. For a clinic, the map listing is often where a patient lands before they ever reach the site: address, hours, phone number, reviews. It went up alongside the site and carries the same details, so the two agree with each other instead of quietly contradicting themselves a year later.

Local SEO for a capital city. Harare runs through the copy at a natural density, and the title tag is written for what patients type into Google rather than leading with the clinic’s name.
